Toyota is set to debut the redesigned 2016 Toyota Tacoma at the Detroit Auto Show which is being held January 17-25, 2015 at Detroit’s Cabo Conference Exhibition Center. TCT Magazine will be there first hand to provide coverage of the much anticipated debut of the new redesign and we look forward to hearing your thoughts on the changes. According to today's press release, the debut will happen on January 12th during Press Day.
With great success with the recent release of the TRD Pro models, Toyota has their work cut out for them to meet expectations on the redesign. There’s talks that the regular cab will get the axe in 2016, but the hope for a new powertrain should keep people’s interest sparked. It’s no secret that the Toyota Tacoma is not the most fuel efficient mid-sized pickup on the market, but we’ve all grown to deal with it. Hopefully we’ll get a compromise in the 2016 Tacoma.
Toyota has kept us on the hook since 2005 with subtle upgrades over the years, but many are tired of the cosmetic changes and are looking for something a bit more drastic. I personally think, if it’s not broke, don’t fix it! However, Toyota changes have a way to grow on you over the years no matter what your original thoughts might be. So, bring it on Toyota! We’re looking forward to see what you have up your sleeves!
