Since we started Toyota Cruisers & Trucks back in 2014, we've been focusing on body-on-frame, true 'Trucks' produced by Toyota, in both original and Lexus trim. Our coverage of the most dependable and capable adventure vehicles will continue, but now we may need to add a new model to our regular updates.
While the RAV4 doesn't meet the traditional definition for a TRUCK or CRUISER, it is still capable in it's own way. It certainly meets the needs of many outdoor and adventure enthusiasts, so I feel that we owe it to our readers to publish updates as the come across our desk.

The new model offers plenty of capability for the light off-highway adventurer, so we're interested to see how they perform in the real world.
