When it comes to hard details for every model of Land Cruiser, I defer to Kurt Williams of Cruiser Outfitters (http://tctmag.us/crsout). He is as knowledgeable about Cruisers as I believe a human lifeform can be. So for specific details, call the shop @ 801-563-1277.

I also must note that although Angie and I have been running this media company for over 10 years, we’ve never owned a ͞true͟ LC. We’ve also never owned a Tacoma. We have experienced every other late model Toyota 4x4 though ;)
Ok. So why should you choose a 100 series over a GX-470? Why pay $10k more for a 10 year old 200 series vs. a similarly equipped US spec Truck or SUV?
The answer is actually quite simple: when Land Cruisers are built in Japan, each vehicle is designed, assembled, and finished with the plan of it surviving over 1,000,000km or more. While a similar level of attention to detail can be said for US built vehicles, the 60+ year Land Cruiser heritage really is built into every brand new, $85,000 200 Series.
Can a US Spec Tundra take you 1 Million Miles? Yes: http://tctmag.us/mmtundra Can you build a Tacoma/FJ Cruiser/4Runner that will last 30 years? Yes. But with a Land Cruiser: they’ve already built it to last.
As an LC owner (so I’ve heard), your main task is to be a good steward of the vehicle. A little care & feeding will keep that truck going for decades, well after the car note is paid in full.
